Ανατομία: Αποτελείται από 2 μύες με ξεχωριστές εκφύσεις αλλά με κοινή κατάφυση στον ελάσσονα τροχαντήρα του μηριαίου.

Ψοϊτης ή Μείζων ψοϊτης εκφύεται από τους οσφυϊκούς σπονδύλους

Ελάσσων ψοϊτης, που δεν υπάρχει σε όλα τα άτομα, εκφύεται από τον 12ο θωρακικό και 1ο οσφυϊκό σπόνδυλο και καταφύεται στην ανώνυμο γραμμή.

Λαγόνιος εκφύεται από τον λαγόνιο βόθρο και την λαγόνια ακρολοφία.

TIP: Δυνατός μυς και δεν πονάει συχνά, αλλά άμα τραυματιστεί θέλει ιδιαίτερη προσοχή στην αποκατάσταση.
