bad luck and it scares you? You’d better re-think. Because this year’s number 13 will definitely
change your mind… a mixture of unexpected cultural encounters, live events and
musical meandering!
M.E.S.O, – the national planning
team- in cooperation with 30 municipalities and local organizers, is preparing to send throughout
Greece sounds, rhythm and a lot of actions. In a period, where all of us are
living under uncertainty and incertitude, music is the element which keeps us
sane and gives us the strength to confront the present with optimism, unity and
team spirit.
For the 13th
consecutive year, Music Day
is here to brighten our everyday lives with music, between the 19th and 21st of June. Every square
becomes a festival…in every corner there is a live event… streets are filled
with people and sounds…
In
addition to the live concerts, this year’s Music Day, in order to support the
production of cooperative events, is preparing educational actions
concerning creativity, vocational training, entrepreneurship and the further development through the
cultural sector and especially through Music!
The year
2012, a framework, for the more active involvement of people in the
organization, will be formed as Music Day is aspiring to the creation of
networks supporting expanded actions which aim at vulnerable social groups and
is trying to achieve that through the development of seminars and workshops.
We are inviting you to join us in
this effort, to exchange ideas and to re-arrange the city’s vibes and rhythms
from the 19th until the 21st of June- streets filled with music and hope.
