H απόφαση της Ελληνικής Ομοσπονδίας Ποδηλασίας να θεσπίσει παράβολο 500 ευρώ για κάθε αγώνα open έχει δημιουργήσει έντονες αντιδράσεις. To κείμενο που έχει αναρτηθεί στο διαδίκτυο είναι το παρακάτω :
Δεδομένων των τελευταίων εξελίξεων στην Ελληνική Ποδηλασία, πιο συγκεκριμένα την αναστολή των αγωνιστικών εκδηλώσεων από την Ε.Ο.Π. (επιστολή 5ης Μαρτίου 2014) αλλά και το “παράβολο” που ψηφίστηκε για τους αγώνες Open (απόφαση Ε.Ο.Π. 15/27-11-2013), η αγωνιστική ποδηλασία στην Ελλάδα βρίσκεται σε τέλμα:
Όχι μόνο έχουν ανασταλεί όλες οι επίσημες αγωνιστικές εκδηλώσεις, αλλά δυσχεραίνεται το έργο της ιδιωτικής πρωτοβουλίας στην οργάνωση Open αγωνιστικών εκδηλώσεων, αφού κάθε ιδιώτης διοργανωτής θα πρέπει να εξασφαλίσει επιπλέον €500 απλά και μόνο για την επίσημη έγκριση της Ε.Ο.Π.
Όπως είναι ευρέως γνωστό, η τρέχουσα οικονομική κατάσταση δεν επιτρέπει ούτε χρηματικές χορηγίες, ούτε την αύξηση του αντίτιμου συμμετοχής στους αγώνες Open.
Τα δύο παραπάνω μέτρα λειτουργούν ως “θηλιά” που πνίγει τους αγώνες ποδηλασίας, κάθε μορφής, μαζί με τους κόπους αθλητών & προπονητών! Χωρίς αγώνες ποδηλασίας, βλάπτεται επίσης ο τζίρος των εμπορικών επιχειρήσεων που δραστηριοποιούνται στον ποδηλατικό τομέα, αυτές από τις οποίες ζητείται να χορηγήσουν διοργανώσεις, συλλόγους και αθλητές.
Η παρούσα κατάσταση αποδεικνύει αναμφισβήτητα ότι το κυβερνόν σώμα της Ελληνικής Ποδηλασίας δεν υπηρετεί τον Έλληνα Ποδηλάτη και αυτό πρέπει να αλλάξει άμεσα!
Υπογράφουμε όλοι οι ποδηλάτες ώστε να σταματήσει το “χαράτσι” των €500 για τους αγώνες Open! Αφού δεν υπάρχουν χρήματα για να διοργανώνονται αγώνες από την Ε.Ο.Π., ας διευκολυνθούν οι ιδιώτες διοργανωτές αγώνων όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο!
