Δελτίο Τύπου των διοργανωτών. Την Κυριακή 6 Απριλίου o Δήμος Αθηναίων και ο Οργανισμός Πολιτισμού Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας διοργανώνουν τον «21ο Ποδηλατικό Γύρο της Αθήνας», που είναι αφιερωμένος στην Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Υγείας (7 Απριλίου) και επιδιώκει να διαδώσει το μήνυμα «Αγαπάς την υγεία σου… πάρε ποδήλατο».
Αντικειμενικός στόχος της διοργάνωσης είναι η αναβάθμιση του κοινωνικού ρόλου του Αθλητισμού, η ελεύθερη συμμετοχή όλων στα αθλητικά δρώμενα και η μύηση στην Ολυμπιακή Ιδέα, το «Ευ αγωνίζεσθαι», τη χαρά της συμμετοχής και της άσκησης.
Η εκκίνηση θα δοθεί από την Πλατεία Κοτζιά στις 10:00 το πρωί και οι τρεις διαδρομές είναι 9χλμ., 3χλμ. και 900 μέτρων για Α.με.Α. και παιδιά (εκκίνηση Αθηνάς & Ερμού), αναλόγως τις δυνατότητες και τη διάθεση του κάθε ποδηλάτη.

Οι εγγραφές θα πραγματοποιούνται είτε ηλεκτρονικά, είτε στους αθλητικούς χώρους και στα γραφεία του ΟΠΑΝΔΑ έως το Σάββατο 5 Απριλίου, ενώ θα υπάρχει δυνατότητα εγγραφής και την ημέρα των αγώνων στην Πλατεία Κοτζιά από 08.00 έως 09.30. Οι ηλεκτρονικές εγγραφές θα γίνονται έως το Σάββατο 5 Απριλίου και ώρα 13.00.
Όλα τα σημεία και οι πληροφορίες για τις εγγραφές, υπάρχουν στην ιστοσελίδα του Οργανισμού www.opanda.gr
Μετακίνηση συμμετεχόντων
Όσοι θα συμμετάσχουν στον 21ο Ποδηλατικό Γύρο Αθήνας, θα μπορούν να μετακινηθούν δωρεάν με όλα τα Μέσα Μαζικής Μεταφοράς αρμοδιότητας Ο.Α.Σ.Α κατά τις ώρες από 07.00 έως 16.00, με δυνατότητα μεταφοράς των ποδηλάτων τους με την επίδειξη της ηλεκτρονικής έγκρισης συμμετοχής ή του αύξοντα αριθμού συμμετέχοντα, που θα εκδίδονται από τον Ο.Π.Α.Ν.Δ.Α.
“Bike Expo του Γύρου της Αθήνας”
Σε συνεργασία με το περιοδικό ΜBike θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην πλατεία Κοτζιά την ημέρα του Γύρου η «Bike Expo του Γύρου της Αθήνας».
Στόχος της έκθεσης είναι να γνωρίσουν από κοντά οι πολίτες τις εξελίξεις και τις τάσεις στα ποδήλατα, τα διαφορετικά είδη ποδηλάτου και να ενημερωθούν για τα απαραίτητα αξεσουάρ τα οποία θα κάνουν τη ζωή τους με το ποδήλατο, ακόμη πιο ευχάριστη. Περισσότερες από 20 εταιρείες θα δώσουν το “παρών” στην Bike Expo του Γύρου της Αθήνας, μεταξύ των οποίων:
Ballistic, Bianchi, Cannondale, Focus, Giant, GT, Ideal, KCP, KTM, MBM, Merckx, Merida, Orient, Pinarello, Regina, Scott, Sector, Shimano, Thule, κ.ά.

Στο σημείο της Bike Expo του Γύρου Αθήνας θα υπάρχει Service Area, από τη shimano, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες στον 21ο Ποδηλατικό Γύρο της Αθήνας θα μπορούν να ελέγξουν τα ποδήλατά τους ή να κάνουν μικρορυθμίσεις, με στόχο την ασφαλή συμμετοχή τους στο Γύρο.
Το νερό στους ποδηλάτες το προσφέρει το φυσικό μεταλλικό νερό ΖΑΓΟΡΙ.
Με τη λήξη της διαδρομής, θα κληρωθούν τρία ποδήλατα, προσφορά της Ballistic bikes, καθώς και πλούσια δώρα για τους συμμετέχοντες ποδηλάτες, ενώ θα τους περιμένει η Athens Big Band με δυνατή funky μουσική.
