Ο καθένας μας όταν αποφασίσει να επικοινωνήσει δημόσια γνωρίζει ότι θα κριθεί από τα λεγόμενα ή τα κείμενά του. Κρίνεται μεταξύ άλλων για τη δομή του κειμένου, τα επιχειρήματά του καθώς και το ύφος της γραφής του. Κρινόμαστε επίσης και για την «κοινωνική μας ευφυία».
Ιδιαίτερα οι δημοσιογράφοι και τα ΜΜΕ κρίνονται πιο αυστηρά και πρέπει να κρίνονται πιο αυστηρά γιατί έχουν την ευκολία και τη δύναμη να διαμορφώνουν απόψεις και κυρίως στάσεις. Τούτο μέσω της άμεσης πρόσβασης σε μεγάλο ποσοστό πληθυσμού καθώς και μία επαγγελματική επικοινωνιακή γνώση και υψηλή δεξιότητα στον χειρισμό της γλώσσας που τους επιτρέπει να διαμορφώνουν εύκολα απόψεις στον πληθυσμό.
Το κείμενο με δημοσιογραφικά κριτήρια πέρα από οποιασδήποτε υποκειμενική αντίληψη ας μου επιτραπεί -και λόγω του προκλητικού και μη ορθού για την εποχή μας λόγου – δεν είναι δημοσιογραφικής αξίας, δίχως δομή , δίχως σοβαρά επιχειρήματα, με έντονη συναισθηματική φόρτιση,… Θα μπορούσε να είναι κείμενο σε social media αλλά δεν μπορεί να είναι κείμενο σε μία ιστορική εφημερίδα όπως το Εθνος.
Ομως το πιο σοβαρό είναι ότι τόσο ο δημοσιογράφος όσο και η εφημερίδα δρουν όχι και τόσο υπεύθυνα σε αυτή τη δύσκολη φάση που περνούμε μεταξύ άλλων για τα παρακάτω:
- Το χειρότερο που μπορούμε να κάνουμε σε αυτή την περίοδο είναι να διχάζουμε τον πληθυσμό και να στρέφουμε μία κοινωνική ομάδα απέναντι σε μία άλλη
- Η άσκηση είναι σημαντική τόσο για την ψυχική μας υγεία όσο και την σωματική μας υγεία και είναι τουλάχιστον ατυχείς οι συγκρίσεις με οποιαδήποτε άλλη οικονομική ή ψυχαγωγική δραστηριότητα. Δεν είναι πολυτέλεια και δεν είναι κοινωνικά ανεύθυνος όποιος μπορεί να ασκηθεί.
- Το κείμενο έρχεται ούτε μία εβδομάδα μετά την παγκόσμια ημέρα μνήμης θυμάτων από τροχαία. Ο ΟΗΕ στα στατιστικά που εξέδωσε μας έδειξε ότι το 52% των τροχαίων είναι πεζοί, ποδηλάτες και μοτοσικλετιστές. Κάθε 7-12’ πεθαίνει ένας ποδηλάτης.

Οφείλει η πολιτεία να λάβει το μήνυμα και να δημιουργήσει σωστές υποδομές και να εκπαιδεύσει τους πολίτες για τη κίνηση με ποδήλατο στον αστικό ιστό.
