Στην διεθνή επιστημονική βιβλιογραφία της προπονητικής (sports coaching) δεν χρησιμοποιούνται οι λέξης «καλός» ή «κακός» προπονητής αλλά πολλές άλλες λέξεις/ εκφράσεις μεταξύ των οποίων αρκετά επιστημονικά «δημοφιλείς» είναι οι λέξεις «αποτελεσματικός» ή «μη αποτελεσματικός” προπονητής.
Π.χ. Κάποιος μπορεί να είναι αποτελεσματικός προπονητής Τριάθλου σε άντρες αθλητές Τριάθλου αλλά όχι στις γυναίκες. Αυτό δεν σχετίζεται εάν ο προπονητής είναι άντρας ή γυναίκα.
Ένα από τα πράγματα που λαμβάνουμε/ πρέπει να λαμβάνουμε σημαντικά υπόψιν εμείς οι προπονητές Τριάθλου στις Γυναίκες Τριαθλήτριες είναι τα 4 F:
Female : Οι γυναίκες αθλήτριες Τριάθλου παρουσιάζουν σημαντικές διαφορές από άποψη Φυσιολογίας και Ψυχολογίας και αυτό είναι κάτι που οφείλει να γνωρίζει εξαιρετικά καλά ο προπονητής Τριάθλου. Οφείλει να έχε μελετήσει εξαιρετικά καλά την Φυσιολογία της Άσκησης αναφορικά με τις διαφορές αντρών και γυναικών. Σε προηγούμενο άρθρο μας είχαμε αναλύσει αρκετές από αυτές τις ιδιαιτερότητες και είχαμε εστιάσει σε πολλά σημεία μεταξύ των οποίων και στις ιδιαιτερότητες του γυναικείου αθλητικού εξοπλισμού στην κολύμβηση, ποδηλασία και τρέξιμο.
Family : Η οικογενειακή κατάσταση της γυναίκας και ιδιαίτερα η ηλικία που είναι τα παιδιά της αποτελούν κάτι που λαμβάνουμε πολύ σημαντικά υπόψιν μας οι προπονητές. Για μία μητέρα τα παιδιά είναι η απόλυτη προτεραιότητα, ο πυρήνας της ζωής τους και το σημείο αναφοράς/ εκκίνησης σε ότι και εάν σχεδιάζει επαγγελματικά ή σε επίπεδο χόμπι στη ζωή της.
Finance: Το Τρίαθλο είναι ένα σημαντικά ακριβό άθλημα τόσο σε επίπεδο εξοπλισμού, συμμετοχής σε αγώνων αλλά και καθημερινής προπόνησης. Ένας σωστός οικονομικός προγραμματισμός είναι κάτι παραπάνω από απαραίτητος. Εδώ μπορεί να βοηθήσει και να καθοδηγήσει σωστά ο προπονητής ώστε να ξοδευτούν τα χρήματα με σύνεση και με τρόπο που βελτιστοποιείται το αθλητικό αποτέλεσμα.
Fitness: Όπως και στους άντρες το παρόν επίπεδο της φυσικής κατάστασης έτσι και στις γυναίκες είναι εξαιρετικά σημαντικό στο να μπορέσουμε να σχεδιάσουμε σωστά τις προπονήσεις όμως και το επίπεδο φυσικής κατάστασης που θέλει να φτάσει μία αθλήτρια είναι και αυτό εξαιρετικά σημαντικό.
Θα μπορούσε να πει κάποιος ότι τα παραπάνω είναι αυτονόητα και φυσικά έχει δίκιο. Όμως πολλές φορές τα αγνοούμε και εκεί ίσως δημιουργείται θέμα, δηλαδή όταν δεν εμμένουμε στα βασικά.
