Εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα και πρωτοπόρα ¨Ημερίδα¨ προγραμματίστηκε να πραγματοποιηθεί – υπό την Αιγίδα της Α.Ε. του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας Κυρίου Προκόπη Παυλόπουλου – από τη μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρεία ¨Αθλητισμός Χωρίς Αναβολικά¨, με συνδιοργανωτές τον ΣΕΓΑΣ, το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας, την Περιφέρεια Θεσσαλίας και το Δήμο Λαρισαίων. Θα γίνει στο Αμφιθέατρο της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας στη Λάρισα, οδός Παπακυριαζή 22, Πλατεία Ταχυδρομείου (κτίριο Κατσίγρα), την Παρασκευή 12 Φεβρουαρίου και ώρα 10:00 π.μ.
Είναι εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα η ¨Ημερίδα¨ αυτή διότι διακεκριμένοι επιστήμονες θα αναπτύξουν, όχι μόνο το θέμα των αναβολικών όπως το γνωρίζουμε σήμερα – θέμα που βρίσκεται σε μεγάλη επικαιρότητα λόγω των συνεχών σκανδάλων που αποκαλύπτονται σε διεθνές επίπεδο – αλλά θα καταπιαστούν και με τη νέα μάστιγα του Αθλητισμού, που εμφανίστηκε τον τελευταίο καιρό, με την ονομασία ¨Γενετικό Ντόπινγκ¨: μάστιγα η οποία σύμφωνα με την WADA αποτελεί απαγορευμένη μέθοδο, με ηθική αιτιολόγηση, που τελικά – ύστερα από αρκετή παλινδρόμηση – την κατέταξε σε λίστα την οποία εξέδωσε για τις επικίνδυνες ουσίες, ¨στην κατηγορία των απαγορευμένων μεθόδων¨, και προβλέπει ξεχωριστές ποινές γι’ αυτή.
Οι κίνδυνοι για τη Νεολαία από την εφαρμογή στην πράξη του ¨Γενετικού Ντόπινγκ¨ – που κάνει ¨θραύση¨ στις ΗΠΑ, αλλά άρχισε να εμφανίζεται και στην Ελλάδα – σχετίζονται με την πιθανότητα αλλαγής μορφολογίας και λειτουργίας της καρδιάς, την απότομη ανάπτυξη μυϊκής μάζας και μυϊκής δύναμης, που μπορεί να τραυματίσει τένοντες και οστά, και να δημιουργήσει απροσδόκητη αντίδραση στο ανοσοποιητικό σύστημα, με πιθανή ανάπτυξη όγκων.
Κίνδυνοι, όμως, και μάλιστα πολύ μεγάλοι, δημιουργούνται και για την Κοινωνία καθώς, με τον παράνομο τρόπο με τον οποίο πραγματοποιείται το ¨Γενετικό Ντόπινγκ¨, σαν μέρος κλινικών μελετών, σε περιβάλλον Νοσοκομείου, φοβίζει γονείς και κηδεμόνες γιατί μπορεί να οδηγήσει και σε μεταδόσεις ασθενειών.
