Ο Γιάννης Κορφιάτης ήταν ο μεγάλος πρωταγωνιστής του Πανελληνίου Πρωταθλήματος Ορεινής Ποδηλασίας, που έγινε στην Κρήτη, στην περιοχή Μελέσσες του Ηρακλείου. Ο αθλητής του ΑΟ Θησέα κατέκτησε δύο χρυσά μετάλλια, κερδίζοντας και στον αγώνα BMX και στον αγώνα 4Cross.
