Προπόνηση ποδηλασίας : Το μαγικό 18άρι!

Οταν κυκλοφορεί στην αγορά ένα εντυπωσιακό/ καινοτόμο ποδήλατο , μία νέα αεροδυναμική ρόδα, ένα αεροδυναμικό κράνος, ένα καινούργιο ποδηλατικό παπούτσι….η μεγάλη πλειοψηφία των αθλητών ασχολείται με αυτό.

Ομως πέρα από ένα εντυπωσιακό ποδήλατο υπάρχουν ορισμένες τεχνολογικές καινοτομίες που επηρεάζουν την απόδοσή μας ίσως ακόμα περισσότερο όμως επειδή οπτικά δεν έχουν κάτι το εντυπωσιακό δεν λαμβάνουν της ίδιας προσοχής.

Αυτό συμβαίνει και με τις 11άρες κασέτες που είναι ένα εξαιρετικό βοήθημα στην προσπάθεια μας να κάνουμε έναν καλύτερο χρόνο σε έναν αγώνα ποδηλασίας ατομικής χρονομέτρησης ή σε έναν αγώνα Τριάθλου.

Οι κασέτες με 11 ταχύτητες είναι πλέον μία πραγματικότητα και διαθέσιμες όχι μόνο πλέον στις κορυφαίες σειρές των εταιρειών και σταδιακά θα αντικαταστήσουν τις 10κάρες κασέτες.

Ετσι για τους ερασιτέχνες αθλητές στο τρίαθλο και την ποδηλασία υπάρχει πλέον στις κασέτες 11-23 και 12-25 και το 18άρι.

Παλιότερα στα 10πλά είχαμε συνήθως την εξής κατανομή 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23 & 12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25,

ενώ τώρα έχουμε 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23 & 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23-25.

Ετσι πλέον έχουμε στην διάθεσή σας το 18άρι.

 

Ας κάνουμε ορισμένα απλά παραδείγματα για να γίνει καταννοητή η αξία από την ύπαρξη του 18 στην κασέτα μας.

1ο παράδειγμα

Εστω ότι πηγαίνουμε με 95 στροφές  και έχουμε σχέση 52/19 τότε η ταχύτητα μας είναι 34,29χλμ/ώρα με κλασσικό τροχό και λάστιχο ποδηλασίας δρόμου. (Σημειώση : Οι υπολογισμοί είναι για κλασσικό χωρίς να μετρήσουμε τις ιδιατερότητες από κάποιο συγκεκριμένο λάστιχο)

Εάν βαρύνουμε ένα πάτημα χρησιμοποιωντας το 17άρι – χωρίς να έχουμε το 18άρι- τότε έπρεπε να αυξήσουμε σημαντικά την ισχύ μας για να διατηρήσουμε το στροφάρισμα ή διαφορετικά θα έπεφτε πολύ το στροφάρισμά μας.

Με 95 στροφές και 52/17 θα πηγαίνουμε με 38,32χλμ/ώρα.

Καταννοεί κάποιος πόσο ενοχλητικό είναι για έναν αθλητή αυτό το μεγάλο βήμα ισχύος που τον αναγκάζει να αλλάξει σημαντικά το στροφάρισμά όταν αναγκαζόταν να «βαρύνει» από το 19 στο 17 καθώς ίσως δεν μπορεί να υποστηρίξει το μεγάλο βήμα στην αύξηση φορτίου. Δηλαδή με το ίδιο στροφάρισμα θα έπρεπε να υποστηρίξουμε μία αύξηση φορτίου κοντά στα 40 watt.

Εάν άλλαζε γρανάζι και πήγαινε από το 19 στο 17 για να πάει με 36 χιλιόμετρα την ώρα θα αναγκαζόταν να πάει με 89 στροφές ανά λεπτό. Αυτή η αλλαγή ίσως θα ήταν καταστροφική για την τακτική στροφαρίσματος του – και ίσως την υποκειμενική αίσθηση κόπωσης του- σε ένα αγώνα τριάθλου ή χρονομέτρου.

 

2ο παράδειγμα

Εάν ο αθλητής πήγαινε με 100 στροφές τότε αντίστοιχα οι τιμές θα ήταν 36,1 (52/19) και 40,34 (52/17). Αυτό το βήμα είναι αδύνατο να το υποστηρίξει αφού σημαίνει ουσιαστικά αύξηση φορτίου  με πολύ πρόχειρη προσέγγιση γύρω 40-50 watt (Σημείωση : Για να υπολογίσουμε τα ακριβή φορτία χρειαζόμαστε πολλά στοιχεία, απλά δίνουμε μία πολύ πρόχειρη εκτίμηση για να γίνει καταννοητό για πόσο μεγάλη αύξηση συζητούμε).
