Το σχολικό περιβάλλον αποτελεί τον καταλληλότερο χώρο για την προώθηση πολιτικής κατά του ντόπινγκ.

Στόχος της έρευνας ήταν η διερεύνηση της στάσης, των γνώσεων και των συμπεριφορών των νέων πάνω στο ντόπινγκ καθώς και η άποψή τους για τη συμβολή του σχολείου στο θέμα αυτό.

Χρόνος διεξαγωγής της έρευνας: Οκτώβριος 2004- Ιανουάριος 2005. n=1400, αγόρια 53%, κορίτσια 47%.

Η έρευνα διεξήχθη με ανώνυμα ερωτηματολόγια, σε πέντε πόλεις της Ελλάδας: Αθήνα (37%), Κόρινθο (24%), Άργος (15%), Ναύπλιον (14%), Ιωάννινα (10%).

Από τους μετέχοντες το 65% δηλώνει ότι αθλείται συστηματικά και το 52% είναι αθλητές σωματείων.

Συγκεκριμένα:

  • Ποδοσφαίρου (28,6%),
  • Καλαθοσφαίρισης (18%),
  • Αντισφαίρισης (8,3%),
  • Πετοσφαίρισης (7,7%),
  • Στίβου (7,5%),
  • Κολύμβησης (6,2%),
  • Πολεμικών Τεχνών (5,8%)…

Εκ των αποτελεσμάτων εδείχθη ότι οι νέοι θεωρούν το ντόπινγκ κοινωνικό φαινόμενο (63,4%), που αφορά όλες τις χώρες (68,5%) και όλα τα αθλήματα (60,9%).

Στη συντριπτική τους πλειοψηφία είναι αντίθετοι στη χρήση ουσιών ντόπινγκ στον αθλητισμό (91%).

Η πλειοψηφία αναγνωρίζει ότι οι ουσίες προκαλούν βλάβες στον ανθρώπινο οργανισμό και μάλιστα το 56,7% θεωρεί ότι είναι δυνατόν να επιφέρουν, ακόμη, και το θάνατο.

Ένα μικρό ποσοστό 10% δηλώνει ότι έχει κάνει χρήση απαγορευμένων ουσιών.

Το 74% θεωρεί λανθασμένη την άποψη ότι δίχως χρήση ουσιών ντόπινγκ δεν επιτυγχάνονται Ολυμπιακές και Παγκόσμιες διακρίσεις.

Σε πολύ έντονο βαθμό δείχνουν να μην γνωρίζουν ποιες ουσίες συγκαταλέγονται στη λίστα των απαγορευμένων. Έτσι λανθασμένα συγκαταλέγουν:

  • Την κρεατίνη (49,1%),
  • την παρακεταμόλη (30,5%),
  • την καφείνη (19,3%),
  • το ακετυλοσαλικυλικό οξύ (18,6%)… στις απαγορευμένες

ενώ: την εφεδρίνη (47,6%), την αυξητική ορμόνη (27,1%)…στις μη απαγορευμένες.

 

Οι νέοι ομολογούν ότι η πληροφόρηση προέρχεται από τα ΜΜΕ σε ένα μεγάλο ποσοστό (72,4%) ενώ η συνεισφορά του σχολείου στο θέμα αυτό δεν αγγίζει παρά το (19,8%).

Παρόλα αυτά η μαθητιώσα νεολαία πιστεύει  ότι το σχολείο είναι εκείνο που θα ευαισθητοποιήσει, θα καταρτίσει και θα εκπαιδεύσει κατάλληλα το μαθητή- αθλητή αλλά και τον αυριανό προπονητή και αθλητικό παράγοντα.

Φαίνεται πως μεταξύ των νέων το κλίμα για την ανάπτυξη προγραμμάτων αντι-ντόπινγκ είναι θετικό.

Συνεπώς, το Υπουργείο Παιδείας θα πρέπει να εξετάσει το ενδεχόμενο υλοποίησης προγραμμάτων πρόληψης του ντόπινγκ, τα οποία θα έχουν συστηματική, οργανωμένη και σπειροειδή μορφή.
